Laptop Discrimination at Another Seattle Coffeehouse

Apparently, Herkimer Coffee in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood, only allows laptop usage in the North side of its cafe. Today, I went in there and couldn't find a seat where I could use my laptop. It was sort of silly.

I support Victrola's choice of turning off its wifi on weekends. At least I know not to go there on weekends if I need to do work on my laptop.

But the Herkimer configuration makes it a crapshoot of whether or not I'll be able to work. If I really need to get something done, I have no idea if I'll be able to work there.

It seems odd to me that they don't mind me studying with books and writing in my notebook in their south seats, but if I choose to use my laptop to do so, then it's not okay.

It won't be too long before people begin sneaking into the bathroom their with their laptop just to check their email.
