Review of iFrogz iPod Cases: Protection Meets Style

The good folks iFrogz sent me a couple of their iPod cases to review. They've set out to design fun, vibrant customizable silicon protective cases for iPods and Nanos and I think they've done it.

The packaging is great...

There are several pieces to each case: Wraps, Bands and Screens. You can pick colors and designs of each element. Altogether, the case is only $24, which I think is a very comparable price to other cases out there.

The iPod Video case has a belt loop attachment - I found it a little loose. I wasn't sure I'd trust it on a hike or a run.

Here are my babies all wrapped up. I didn't put on the decals...

I've tried the plastic overwraps for the new video iPods and Nano's and they leave a lot to be desired. The iFrogz are a better solution.

The Nano is so easy to scratch, I think the iFrogz makes a great, fun way to protect it in a small form factor that's easily graspable and portable. However, it doesn't work well for activities - I'll keep my neoprene arm band case instead.

As for the iPod video - I think the iFrogz case works well. Perhaps if I liked the colors in my demo package better, I'd use it permanently. But instead, I'm sticking with my clear secret agent case for now.

Overall, the iFrogz folks have a fun new approach to iPod cases and I think you will be satisfied if you purchase them. I think it's largely a matter of preference though. I think the iFrogz make good gifts for the style-conscious iPod owner (is there any other kind?).

Thanks again iFrogz for letting me try out your stuff.

Hello!
I'm writing an article on the iFrogz cases for a course for school and was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about the case to use for my piece (it will not be published). If you could spare 5ish minutes, I'd greatly appreciated it. Thank you! :)

1. What do you think the biggest selling point is in this case?
2. Do you think people will respond well to the product? Why?
3. What do you think people are more interested in: customization or quality? Why?
4. What sets iFrogz apart from other cases out in the world?
Also, if you wouldn't mind giving me your name, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
