Habitat Espresso Televised Media Coverage from 1997-2001
I'd been meaning to post archives of this video for several years - and now YouTube makes it easy. So, here it is the archived history of public relations madness that was Habitat Espresso and the Four Angels Cafe.
In 1997, I founded Habitat Espresso with Matt Gurney (now of FareStart) as a not for profit coffee house in Seattle. I was still an employee at Microsoft while Matt managed the day to day operations of the cafe. In 1998, we purchased the Four Angels Cafe. Both coffeehouses sold organic Kalani coffee and allowed customers to vote for their favorite local charities that shared in the proceeds from the stores.
With the help of Microsoft public relations, we had numerous media appearances nationally and locally. The videos are featured below.

Jeff, I hadn't known what a splash Habitat made. You were on the cutting edge of social entrepreneurism at that time. What a shame Habitat, and my fave hangout from SU days, Four Angels, aren't there today to inspire new generations of social entrepreneurs. What will your next venture be? Smiles, Julia
